Whitehaven, Cumbria

A great location for the plant enthusiast! Over 30 plant types have been found here in the siltstones, shales and sandstones from Carboniferous times. This Cumbrian site is a mix of cliff section and coast and although family friendly, parties with children will be restricted to the foreshore.
