Party: Aust and Portishead, Weekender Gloucestershire

Aust: This is a Triassic site in the Famous Red and White cliffs that can be seen when crossing the River Severn. The Aust Bone Bed, found in the cliffs, is a highly productive bone bearing bed at the very top, which is from the Rhaetian Penarth series. This bed is full of teeth, reptile and fish remains.
Suitable for all the Family.

Portishead:is an interesting location with both Carboniferous and Devonian rocks. At Battery Point, many corals and crinoids can be collected from the rocks on the foreshore, there are plenty to be found. further along Woodhill bay, fish remains are also commonly found.
Suitable for all the Family.
