James Grim Woodcutters is the latest offering from the frontman of Brothers Grim. After a short hiatus from touring he will be returning to Sydney with a bone-deep set of stripped back country tunes. Woodcutters deliver raw ballads, straight as broken arrows - weaving honest tales that don’t pull their punches.

Drawing from the dark satire of artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Kris Kristofferson and Australia’s own Tex, Don and Charlie, Woodcutters serenade with intensity and a glint in the eye.

With a variable line up that’s previously seen Dan Waters and Jamie Messenger take the stage, Woodcutters latest outfit will see James reunited with Brothers Grim’s illustrious blues guitarist Matt Grim backed by the angelic vocals of Matt Wicking of The General Assembly and peppered by Scott Bennet on percussion.
