Based around the fraternal triumvirate of Sam, Abe and James Wilson (father is William Wilson, hence the name) Sons of Bill play effortlessly classic American roots rock, reminiscent of a range of artists stretching from Townes Van Zandt to early REM, yet all the time including a unique quality that's earned them comparisons to a countrified Pink Floyd. Southern to the core, with dreamy pedal steel, banjo, and three part harmonies that could have only been learned at church, and with fiery live act, they're the stand-out Americana band of 2014. “Lush and lovely” – Rolling Stone.
