Party: RA in Residence at Sub Club・Optimo & Selvagem

This is a pay on the door event. £10 before midnight. £12 after.


We are very happy to finally bring our friends, comrades in arms and two of our favourite djs, Selvagem from Brazil to The Sub Club for this party in association with Resident Advisor.

We first met, developed a kinship and became lifelong friends with Selvagem on our first visit to Brazil ten years ago. Subsequently we have formed a close alliance and played their wild parties in Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro several times. We have seen them flourish into world class djs with a deep, deep knowledge of music, be that forgotten Brazilian dance floor bombs or simply the very best music from across the sonic spectrum. Most importantly they know how to work a dance floor.

In their own words -

“Selvagem ("Wild" in portuguese) is the name of the Brazilian duo formed by DJs Millos Kaiser and Trepanado as well as the parties they throw in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro every month, considered as one of the best in both cities. Usually they take care of the music for the whole night, but sometimes they have cool guests (Daniele Baldelli, Optimo, Eric Duncan, Justin Strauss and Andy Blake among them).

Selvagem believes in free-associative thinking when it comes to music, faithful to Duke Ellington's motto that says "There are two kinds of music: good music and the other kind", blending disco, house, rock, techno, funk and soul of all eras and places.”
