Themenmonat: Bewegung!

Bei uns geht es mit Verve in den Juni: der folgt nämlich dem Motto 'Bewegung!' - natürlich in Anlehnung an die Stonewall Riots von 1969 und die internationalen LSBTI-Befreiungsbewegungen, aus denen auch das Berliner SchwulenZentrum hervorging: Über 35 Jahre nach der Gründung verstehen wir uns als diskriminierungsarmer Schutzraum für sämtliche nicht-heteronormativen Lebensweisen. Um den vielfältigen Ansprüchen unserer Community gerecht zu werden, bedarf es einiges an Dynamik - kurzum - Bewegung: und so versuchen wir, mit Transparenz und Mut zum Dialog nach vorne zu gehen und uns auch Schwierigem und Neuem nicht zu verschließen. Frei nach dem Motto: Arsch hoch und in Bewegung bleiben!

June is SchwuZ 'Month of Social Movement!' -
in reference to The Stonewall Riots from 1969 and the internatial lgbtqi liberation movements which also contributed to the formation of a 'gay center' - 'SchwulenZentrum' – in Berlin. Over 35 years after its foundation we still strive to create a non-discriminatory forum for homosexuals, queers and non-heteronormative lifestyles in general.
Doing justice to the versatile requirements and needs of our communities demands a lot of dynamic – hence 'movements' from within: This is why we try to be flexible, practice and encourage critical dialogue and stay open to new and upcoming things and perspectives, following the slogan: Get up off your butt and keep on moving!
