We Were Once Actors

We Were Once Actors are a five piece post-rock powerhouse emerging into the UK music scene. Currently made up of Jazz Bullen, Hai Long, Stephen Remblance, Ben Francis and Callum Daniels, they’ve toured in London, Norwich, Bristol and several other locations. Having released their first EP “Into The Dark” during early 2015 they are currently writing and recording a follow up due for release in 2016. With a sound derived from atmospheric shoegaze and alternative rock, they write tracks that can captivate any audience and immerse you in a wall of sound.

Mark McDowell

Folk tales of past and present are backed with insightful arrangements and exotic instrumentation. Taking inspiration from the early seventies folk scene as well as a pioneering experimental approach, Mark McDowell records and performs with a regular cast of talented collaborators.

Regular live work showcases last years releases along with the exciting development of material mooted for this year’s autumn scheduled album.

2013 saw the release of three well-received EP’s in collectable bespoke packaging as well as a seven-inch single ‘Girls of Belvoir’ issued by Fruits de Mer Records and played on the Radio Six Music Gideon Coe show.
