The band led by the Joy Division and New Order bassist will perform the classic albums ‘Unknown Pleasures’ and ‘Closer’ in full.
The show will also feature an opening set comprising of New Order material.
An exclusive Limerick gig, Peter Hook and The Light have only rarely performed the Joy Division albums in full since moving on to perform extensive the New Order back catalogue.
This is the first time the Light have performed in Limerick and is part of only a handful of Irish Dates.
To coincide with Peter Hook’s Limerick show, the hugely influential Joy Division will also be the focus of a two-day symposium at the University of Limerick on November 25th and 26th. Co-organiser Dr. Martin Power said: “Following on from successful international events on The Smiths, Morrissey and David Bowie, the Popular Music and Popular Culture Research Cluster at UL will examine the legacy of the iconic Manchester band over two days. We are thrilled that Peter Hook is coming to Dolan’s to perform these classic albums.”
