Party: CJF at CJC ft. Tara Fuki/Saori Yano Trio/The Big Band Society

CJC is proud to announce its participation in the Cairo Jazz Festival by hosting the Beyond Stage series once again, where we have both local and visiting artists from the festival play at our venue.

For the first night of our Beyond Stage series we have Tara Fuki, a cellist duo from the Czech Republic. Their unique musical style which comprises of the cello and vocals is said to be influenced by different sounds from around the world, therefore defining their sound as alternative world music as well as folk music, “Like dreams, their music can gently caress and soothe, but also hurt in its brutal intensity.”

Next up, we have Japanese saxophonist 矢野沙織(Yano Saori) along with Yuta Kaneko on the organ Nobuyuki Komatsu on the drums. Saori Yano has been performing since she was 16 years old, and began focusing on bebop music which she mastered since.

As if this wasn't an already musically-rich evening, The Big Band Society will take to the stage, the 15+ jazz formation will play together creating a jazz sound that is sure to leave a lasting impact.
