MOPDTK with new instrumentation: Ron Stabinsky on piano!
The new album is called „Mauch Chunk“ and is new music Moppa Elliot composed for piano that is based on playing with the role of the pianist in a jazz quartet. The tunes are dedicated to friends and musicians he has been influenced by. New album will be mastered in July 2015.
Die derzeit wohl beste Jazzband der Welt, die Jazzliebhaber genauso verzückt wie die popkulturelle Klientel vermengen Jazz mit Zitaten aus Soul, Swing, Boogaloo, Disco und Rock um diesen sogleich wieder musikalisch ad absurdum zu führen. Dies gelingt durch lebhaft, wahlweise perfekt „chaotische“ und mitreißende Spielweise. MOPDTK zwingen musikalisch hochklassigem Jazz eine enorm hohe Dosis Spaß auf. Ein Muß für jeden Musikinteressierten!
