normen flaskamp began producing back in 1999 and was releasing records under various guises on different labels soon after - but it was in 2006 that his „solee“ alias was born, propelling him to new heights in the house
and techno realm. In the same year he decided to take the reins into his own hands and set up
his own record-label „parquet recordings„ to disseminate his distinctive take on melodic techno, tech & deep house. since then, the label has amassed over 80 releases in 6 years across its main and ltd labels, as well as several albums and compilations and showing a real depth to its artist
roster.
aside from his own revered imprint, solee's productions have graced some of the best-known underground record-labels in the world: noir music, get physical music / poesie, john digweed´s „bedrock“, renaissance uk, sharam´s
„yoshitoshi recordings“, danny howell´s „dig deeper“, kingstreet sounds,hernan catteno´s „sudbeat“ or silicon soul´s label „darkroom dubs“, only to name a few.
his tracks have appeared on some of the foremost compilations in dance music, released by names like global underground, balance series, defected, ministry of sound and also for his remix work, on tracks from artists like
wankelmut, gui boratto, nick warren, dave seaman, oliver schories or aka aka & thalstroem, solee has picked acclaimed support over the last years from many international djs, radio stations & magazines.
his dj career began in the early 90ies but was put on hold when he started to get into the complex world of production. upon his return in 2008 - following several major booking requests - it was soon clear that he was a
hugely able, intuitive and skilled selector. having djed across europe, he's been able to communicate his labels accessible sound and ethos to crowds in many different countries. since 2013 he is focus more & more on his live-sets to perform his own productions on stage.
