As Essex begins to be bathed in beautiful sunlight, it's safe to say that the party season is well and truly upon us. Here at SDM HQ, we haven't returned to our hometown since that glorious Staplemas celebration last December, but our hiatus is well and truly over.

With this latest edition of Staple Diet we've decided to go toe to toe with some of Southend's finest dancefloor demolishers, the MOH TEEF crew. They are an outfit we've worked with previously (we all remember Fruitman Chooch's legendary set last time he was at the Bassment), but this time we've decided to go full scale vibery on you muthas and turn this disco out once and for all.

Our rudeboy residents are going to be battling the Southend selectas all night, so expect only the highest calibre of roughneck riddim to be gracing the Bassment floor from the minute you walk through those hallowed doors.

And let's face it - if you can't get into the groove on a bank holiday Sunday, there's no hope left for humanity.
