The brainchild of the Toronto bassist Bret Higgins (Great Lakes Swimmers), Atlas Revolt was created as a vehicle for his original instrumental compositions. The band explores genre-defying music that draws inspiration largely from film scores, jazz, rock, surf, and elements of Eastern European, African and South American music. Think Bitches Brew, Pink Floyd, and Taraf de Haïdouks put through a blender in Tom Waits’ kitchen.
