Big thanks to everyone who came to our Cheltenham launch party with BLONDE last month! We roll on to the end of March where we are revisited by our friends DEVolution.

SHANGRI-LA PRESENTS: DEVolution

DEVolution is a melting pot of influences collectively rooted in electronic music, which is hardly surprising given the heritage of its two protagonists. Pete Devereux conquered the mainstream once before as half of Artful Dodger, who propelled UK garage from the underground and into the charts and his fellow accomplice is former Size Records artist Tom Devos.

The beginning of this year has seen the duo come to the fore with their Arrival EP on Black Butter records and their magical reworking of the SoS Band sample from, "The Finest", in their track, "My Friends". Which broke records on for likes and downloads on Annie Macs Free Music Monday.

The next step is the brand new Transition EP which after a few days of airing the first track Admire has soundcloud in a spin. ‘Admire’ – a haunting chorus, written by man of the moment MNEK and vocalised over an intense house instrumental by Aaron Soul - 'I will never let you go.. because it's you I admire' is the first track from the new EP, which undermines the usual conventions of a love song with its distinctive pulse beat, uplifting music lovers from all worlds.

For those who may have caught the pair perform at Fabric Live earlier this month, it is evident their mission is to ignite venues with real bangers, proving just why getting them on the bill seems to be the new 'in' thing.
