For those members that would like to go out and shoot the Perseid meteors this weekend, and Milky Way...
When: Saturday night (August 13th, 2016)
Where: Bents ghost town, a little less than an hour SW of S'toon towards Rosetown.
Car Pools: For those that want to meet up in S'toon and car pool out people could meet at the Blairmore shopping centre at Staples at 105 Betts Ave by 9:30pm. Jacquie Ferguson will be
leading this group of night photographers.
Who: Anyone! Experienced photogs, those who have never shot Milky Way before, people learning to use their cameras, or if you want to just bring a lawn chair and watch the show! If you're just learning I'm happy to help anyone with their settings, focusing in the dark, or any other night sky related photography questions that I can answer...I know lots of you post all sorts of questions here which is great, but it's much easier to show you out in the field.
Lots of you have shot at Bents before, if it's your first time it's a great location for a group shoot...grain elevator, general store and other buildings, couple old vehicles, etc. Yep, I do have permission to be on the land
