Bananarama are back in Australia perfoming all their hits! Don't miss them at Rooty Hill RSL on Sunday the 7th of Feb. Tickets from $67.
In the 1980s there were few pop groups, male or female, as big as Bananarama. Hailing from the UK, these brash ladies became International fashion and music icons. They took the music world by storm with hits including Cruel Summer, I Heard A Rumour, Robert De Niro’s Waiting, Love In The First Degree and Venus – Their first US #1. Today they still hold the record for the world’s most successful girl band with over 30 UK Top 40 Hits and 40 million record sales.
30 years later, Bananarama will return to Australia for a national concert tour and supported by another big 80’s pop act, Wang Chung who gave us big hits such as Let’s Go, Dance Hall Days, Everybody Have Fun Tonight and Australia’s own 80s/90s girl group The Chantoozies.
