The Domino Collective

The Domino Collective are a female fronted five-piece groove band with prominent funk influences, based in Bath. Early 2015, saw the first stages of the band recording their debut EP, ready for release in the summer. Prior to this, there will be the release of the official music video to the EP’s single ‘Not Worth It’. With performances at numerous venues in the UK, the band has big plans to increase their repertoire and engage new audiences during their 2015 Summer Tour.

Old House Playground

Old House Playground is a three piece contemporary blues/alt-rock band with roots in the Greek folk songwriting culture.

In 2009, Tryfon Lazos (voice, guitars) and Andreas Venetantes (drums, percussion) moved from Athens to Manchester to indulge in new musical paths and forms of expression. Soon after that, they started hanging out with producer / musician Chris Evans, with whom they would record their first album God Damn That Gold. The album was released in June 2012 by the independent label Evening Economies / Fat Bob Records. The release was followed by an extended tour around UK pubs, clubs and cool little venues with audiences’ reactions being overwhelming.

Evening Economies ceased to exist in summer of 2013. The album has been re-released independently by the band a year later.

By the end of 2013, the production team Sugar House approached the band, offering them to produce their next recordings.

In May 2014 Old House Playground performed with Vini Reilly and the Durutti Column at Chorlton’s Arts Festival, hosted by Dave Haslam.

Autumn 2014 finds the band with a new bass player. Jago Furnas moved from London to Manchester in September and joined the band a few weeks later. Jago's musicality is inspiring and the vibe on stage has never been so liberating.

They're currently working on releasing a new EP by the end of May, as well as on the music for a film documentary entitled “The Road to Sparta”.
