It was in 2004 that tenor saxophone legend Irv Williams first started to threaten his retirement, but that prediction was much too premature. This restless jazz musician keeps hitting the stage again and again and recording album after album. Now over ten years later, when no one would blame Williams for hanging up the sax and just taking it easy, the 95-year-young releases yet another album: Irv Williams Trio – Pinnacle. The upcoming CD Release Party is a good opportunity to celebrate these musical treasures of the Twin Cities.
