Wednesday the 16th of December, to coincide with the beginning of the end of exams, Carbon are throwing electronica and techno-king Bjarki on the main floor. Brace yourselves for the ultimate dirty techno blow-out once you've completed your exams, and have committed to either celebrating scraping through them or drowning your sorrows.
Hailing from Iceland, Bjarki R. Sigurdarson, but based in Copenhagen, Bjarki shot to prominence initially when Nina Kravis' guest mix on BBC Radio 1 contained 8 of his tracks from the 17 she selected. Following on from this, the tune 'I Wanna Go Bang', produced in his basement, got massive airplay and was perhaps the most played techno track of 2015.
Bjarki's sound takes in jacking, Chicago-influenced cuts, deadly serious deep techno, and moments of hardcore revivalism that we look forward to seeing banging out in the big room.
