Following Twist’s 2017 November sell out at the Phoenix Artist Club, we’re back and with two shows in one day!
2.30pm - Sondheim VS Stiles and Drewe
Join us as we explore the works of these wonderful theatrical composers, brining to life music from their Musical Theatre songbooks.
5.00pm - Revive
We present music from the shows we want to see revive in London’s West End. The perfect evening of London’s Musical Theatre past.
Tickets can be purchased for one or both shows.
10% of ticket sales from each show will be donated to The Westminster Society, for their work across London, supportng people with Learning Disabilities.
About the cast:
Michael Rideout
Michael is a trained actor/singer and has toured the U.K in children’s Pantomimes and performed at The Old Red Lion Theatre in ‘Mismatched’, directed by Nancy Sullivan and David Thaxton. Michael is excited to be returning to TWIST for their 2018 venture!
Tilly Darragh
Tilly is a trained Musical Theatre singer/actor and has just finished a Christmas season with Eskimo Jo events at Stratford City’s Westfield. Tilly co-founded “TWIST” and is thrilled to be producing and performing in this year’s concert.
Katie Hardy-Lane
Katie graduated from London College of Music in 2016. She performed in the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with an original children’s ‘Moosical’ “Cockadoodlemoo” by Callum O’Rourke.
Matthew Atkins
Matthew trained at Birmingham Conservatoire and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Credits include: Seven Brides For Seven Brothers (UK tour), UKIP The Musical (London), Paper Hearts (Edinburgh, London and Hamburg). Matthew regularly works as a lead soloist for Aida Cruise lines and gigs around the country as a folk and classical Violinist.
Hana Cox
Hana trained at The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and Performers College.
Theatre credits include: Ruth in The State of Things at The Brockley Jack Studio Theatre and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at The Sheringham Little Theatre.
Hana was a soloist for the ‘Curtain Up’ Performance Festival at The V&A Museum; and has performed at The Other Palace as part of their Musical Beginnings programme.
Gemma Hurst
Gemma has recently graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
Credits whilst training includes Mrs Mullins in ‘Carousel,’ Mrs Wilkinson in Billy Elliot,
Eden in the new musical ‘Lockhart’ and Snug in A Midsummer Nights Dream.
Gemma was involved in the workshop performance of the new musical ‘Bright Young Things’ at The Other Palace.
Kian Zomorodian
Kian graduated in 2016 from London College of Music. Kian has worked as a lead vocalist with Headliners Theatre Company, on an International tour, and has recently finished a production of Jack and The Beanstalk in Derry (Millennium Forum Theatre) He is excited to be joining the cast of Twist.
Alex McAteer
Since graduating in 2016 Alex has performed in Godspell (Upstairs at the Gatehouse) and appeared as Hansel in a UK schools and theatre tour of ‘Hansel and Gretel’. Alex has also previously toured India with vocal group, ‘Toccata’ and performed as the leading male vocalist during a six month residency in Gran Canaria. He is very excited to be returning to the cast of ‘Twist’.
Ashton Moore - Musical Director
Ashton is a composer, musical director, musician and teacher based in Southend-on-sea. In 2016, Ashton was a national finalist in the Perfect Pitch Musical Theatre Writing Award, and his work was subsequently showcased at Theatre Royal Stratford East and at The Other Palace. Two of his musicals are currently in professional development. As a pianist, saxophonist and singer, Ashton has performed at venues including the Ritz Hotel, London, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the K Club (R.O.I.), the Barbican Centre, the Echo Arena (Liverpool) and Her Majesty's Theatre.
